They have beautiful clay courts. I think there are 8 courts in total. It’s a little hidden gem in the city of Albany. Good vibe. The only downside to this facility is that it is mostly older people who play there. By older, I mean 65 and above. And second, everyone seems to know each other already and has their matches set up with each other. The day I went, I was invited by a friend, and after we played our singles match, I tried to find some other people to play doubles with, and no one was available, even though there were 15 or 20 other people there. So you might have to put in some effort to find playing partners. Overall, really nice courts, good quality clay, these are slow clay courts, easy on the body. Well-maintained. Would go back again if I could find someone who wants to go.

If you want to play on Nadal's favorite surface the Albany tennis club has 8 beautiful clay courts. The soft surface is easier on your knees and hips no matter what your age. If you have orthopedic issues, even a hip or knee replacement, the most common orthopedic recommendation is to play on a soft surface and preferably doubles. H Shen, MD/member.
